Like Josh McNally, Lovejoy Chawatama joined London Irish from London Welsh in January 2017.
Chawatama was named Zimbabwe Sports Personality of the Year in 2017 and has since made an impression for Irish during the 2017/18 Aviva Premiership.
Chawatama continued to show his development as a player throughout the 2017/18 season, crossing the whitewash in the 44-7 victory over Stade Francais in the European Challenge Cup.
