London Irish scrum-half Ben White will make his first Guinness Six Nations start as Gregor Townsend's Scotland look to retain the Calcutta Cup against England at Twickenham Stadium.
He will partner Racing 92's Finn Russell as the half-back options for Scotland in their tournament opener at the national stadium, with Edinburgh Rugby's Jamie Ritchie captaining the side.
White has been entrusted with the 9 shirt for the first time in the tournament after one previous start for the Thistle, coming in a win over Argentina last July, and will earn his 10th cap this Saturday (4th).
Last year's meeting of the sides saw the 24-year-old earn his debut for his country and make an impact in his 30-minute cameo, scoring a try in a 20-17 win for Scotland at BT Murrayfield.
For Irish this season, White has made 15 appearances for the Club and furthered his try-scoring tally by three for the Exiles.
The match will kick-off at 4.45pm and will be televised live on ITV.
