Ben White has been named in the Scotland squad selected by Gregor Townsend for the Autumn Nations Series this November.

White is one of eight Premiership players in the 40-man squad to represent the Thistle in a four-game billing at Murrayfield over the next month.

Townsend’s men open their account with the visit of Australia on the 29th October (5.30pm ko), following that up with matches against Fiji (1.15pm ko) and New Zealand (2.15pm ko) on the 5th and 13th November, respectively.

Scotland complete their international schedule for 2022 against Argentina on 19th November (3.15pm ko), a side they ultimately fell to in an entertaining 2-1 July Test series victory for Los Pumas in South America.

The 24-year-old scrum-half, now in his second season as an Exile, joined ahead of the 2021/22 campaign and played out 25 games for London Irish in all competitions in his first campaign.

All six of White’s Scotland caps have arrived this calendar year, capping off a sensational debut cameo at Murrayfield with a try to beat England 20-17.

White has started all of Irish’s Premiership games this season, the pace-setter also scoring two tries and maintaining Irish’s fastest average ruck speed in the red zone (2.36 seconds) with the fourth-most passes (249) in the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership.
