Exiles Ben White and Kyle Rowe have been named in Gregor Townsend’s Scotland squad in their second test against Argentina this Saturday (9th July).
White is set to make his first start for his nation at the Estadio Padre Ernesto Martearena, Salta, partnering up with Edinburgh Rugby fly-half Blair Kinghorn who starts at 10.
Utility back Rowe has made his first senior Scotland matchday squad and could appear off the bench having been named in the union’s training squad in the Guinness Six Nations.
Scotland lost their opening encounter with Argentina where Juan Martín González and Agustín Creevy also featured for Los Pumas in the 26-18 defeat.
Irish’s scrum-half, signed ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, made 25 appearances for the Exiles and had a try-scoring debut at Murrayfield in a 20-17 win over England in the 2022 Guinness Six Nations.
Rowe had been capped by the Scotland 7s squad as an Edinburgh player and too was added to the Irish roster before last season, notching 10 tries in all competitions.
Kicking off at 8.10pm BST, the match will be live on Sky Sports this Saturday 9 July, with the final test in the series taking place at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades next Saturday (16th July).
