Charity

London Irish are proud to be supporting the Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue for this fixture. They will be bucket collecting and fundraising for their charity.

The Berkshire Lowland Search & Rescue is one of the oldest of the Lowland Rescue teams in the UK and are on call 24-7/365 days a year to search for vulnerable missing persons. They can be deployed to search challenging terrains including urban, woodland and on the water. Search & Rescue volunteers across the UK are often the first point of call for police forces when vulnerable individuals, such as children, people with mental health problems or learning disabilities, those suffering with Alzheimer’s and indeed anyone who, at the time of their disappearance, is believed to be at risk of injury or death.

BLSAR is a registered charity and every member of the team freely volunteers their time to the specialist training required as well as deploying on live searches at any time.
