WHAT’S ON: London Irish v Leicester Tigers, Saturday 7 October (kick-off 3pm)
London Irish will be back at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday 7 October where we will welcome Leicester Tigers for the Aviva Premiership Round 6 clash.
Here’s all you need to know ahead of the day:
The Craic is Back!
The Craic will be back in the North Stand at the Madejski Stadium for four games this season starting with the Leicester Tigers game next Saturday. The Paul Bowen Band will be performing live from 1.30pm, so be sure to head there before the game. The band will return after the final whistle and will be joined by members of the London Irish squad for interviews as we keep the party going.
Player signing session
Members of our senior squad will be in The Craic at 2pm to meet supporters and sign autographs. The players love to get to know supporters so come and say hi - and don't forget to bring something to get signed!
Digger's Dugout
For the Junior Exiles, Digger’s Dugout will be in The Craic with free face painting, a bouncy castle and games, and you can pick up your free London Irish flag or clap banner.
Windsor Lounge
We will be running an Early Bird food & drink offer in the Windsor Lounge before the match. You'll be able to purchase curried butter chicken with a pint of beer/glass of wine/soft drink for just £7.50 between 11.30am and 1pm. All the more reason to get to the MadStad early, enjoy the craic and make a day of it!
Piglets Pie Cart
For a bite to eat head to Piglets Pie Cart in the East Stand which will be selling sausage rolls, pies and chips.
Fields of Athenry
In true London Irish tradition, we will of course be singing Fields of Athenry in the lead up to kick-off. Led by Paul Bowen, it’s the perfect way to warm up your vocal chords before the game ready to cheer on the team!
Half-time
Half-time will never be the same again after the Sumo Suit Challenge! Two adult and child duos will don sumo suits and race each other across the pitch. The winning pair will then get to play the London Irish Lucky Prize Board with the chance to win some fantastic prizes. We will also be treated to a song by Exiles favourite Ruairi MacManus.
Club Room
As well as The Craic being back in the North Stand, the Club Room in the Princess Suite will be open as usual after the game with an acoustic performance from Ruairi MacManus. The Man of the Match award will also be presented in the Club Room approximately 40 minutes after the final whistle, and Ciamh will hold a Q&A with some of the players.
Tickets
Tickets are available at the Madejski Stadium Ticket Office from 10am from £26 for adults and £4 for under 13s. Parking is £10 at the stadium and the old Greyhound Stadium subject to availability.
Fan Radios
The London Irish Supporters Club will be selling London Irish Fan Radios outside the Megastore. Offering you access to live commentary throughout the match as well as the chance to listen to the referee's mic, the radios are just £10 and can be used at every Premiership club ground throughout the season. The batteries are replaceable, and they even double up as an FM radio!
