London Irish will be back at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday 14 April when Hartpury visit Reading for Round 20 of the Greene King IPA Championship.

The Exiles came out on top away at Hartpury in Round 10, beating the Gloucestershire side 38-5 and taking five points. The men in green will be looking for a repeat of the same, though following a recent upturn in form, Hartpury will no doubt be out to get their own back on the league leaders.

Travel

By car:

Parking is £10 at the stadium subject to availability. You can pre-book car parking through the ticket office by calling 0118 968 1016 or online at ticketing.londonirish.net up to 3pm on Wednesday 10 April.

The Madejski Stadium can be approached from the A33 Reading Relief Road which links to the M4 Motorway. Exit the M4 at Junction 11 heading for Reading on the A33. At the first roundabout, take the 2nd left onto the Reading Relief Road, passing the Stadium on your left. At the next roundabout (past McDonalds) take the first left onto Northern Way and follow signs to car parks. Click here for a map.

By bus:

Reading Buses operate a frequents R1 service between the Southwest Interchange bus station by Reading Station and the Madejski Stadium on match days. Services start about 3 hours before kick-off, with the last service from town being about 20 minutes before kick-off. Services run back into town from the end of the match, with the last bus being around 2 & a half hours after the match.

Please note that you will need to pay in cash - £3.50 for an adult return and £2 for an under 19 return ticket. Click here for more information. As the rugby shuttle buses are not part of Reading Buses regular services, Reading Buses Day, Weekly, Monthly etc tickets are not valid.

Concessionary passes are not valid on the rugby shuttle buses due to changes to the Concessionary pass scheme within Reading Borough, however, to help concessionary pass holders still enjoy the rugby, Reading Buses are offering them a £2 return to the match on the R1 shuttle. To gain any concessionary fare, you must show a valid concessionary pass when boarding.

By rail:

Great Western Railway: There are not any major disruptions to services for this match, however for those travelling home late in the evening, services will not call at Burnham (replacement bus service from Slough after 10:15pm) or Pangbourne (replacement bus service from Tilehurst after 11:00pm)

South Western Railway: Engineering work in the Clapham Junction/Barnes area means that services on the Waterloo – Reading line will diverted via Wimbledon and Kingston and will not call at Richmond.
For those travelling from Southampton, on South Western Railway there are replacement buses between Southampton and Basingstoke; CrossCountry services are diverted via Guildford.

Roadworks:

The Smart Motorway work on the M4 mentioned above now extends through to junction 12, so there may be narrow lanes and speed restrictions along the whole of the Reading stretch of the M4, however there are not any closures planned at times that would disrupt travel to/from the Madejski.
We are not currently aware of any other roadworks on the major routes to/from the Madejski Stadium, however roadworks on Vastern Way may effect those travelling from North of town using Reading Bridge or Caversham Bridge.

(Thanks to LISC for the travel information update).

Security

Please be aware that stewards will be carrying out bag checks on entry to the stadium. We encourage you to only bring a bag if necessary and to leave extra time to enter the stadium. Please note that alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the stadium.
