Senior Academy talents Afolabi Fasogbon and Chandler Cunningham-South have been selected as replacements in Mark Mapletoft’s first England under-20s matchday squad.

The two Exiles are set to face Georgia under-20 in the first of its two-match tour on Saturday, 27th May at Avchala Stadium, Tbilisi, kicking-off at 4pm BST.

The match will be streamed live on the Georgian Rugby Facebook page.

Both players were heavily involved in England’s Under-20 Six Nations campaign, Cunningham-South dotting down twice in three appearances with Fasogbon also scoring against Italy.

The two-match exhibition series against Georgia is building towards the first Under-20 World Championships since 2019 held in South Africa this June and July.

Openside flanker Tristan Woodman of Sale Sharks captains the team into the clash in Tblisi, with the Exiles accompanied by other replacements Craig Wright, Asher Opoku-Fordjour, Finn Carnduff, Charlie Bracken, Joseph Woodward and Joe Jenkins.

Mapletoft said: “We’ve selected a side for our first match against Georgia under-20 which will give us a chance to try out new on-pitch combinations and also to see players who didn’t play big minutes during the Under-20 Six Nations campaign.

“We expect the locals to come out hard, backed by a vocal crowd.

“We can’t wait for the experience.”
