Fijian ace Aseli Tikoirotuma has vowed to continue his try-scoring form after opening up his account in Saturday’s 19-0 victory over Doncaster Knights at the Madejski Stadium.
The 30-year-old, who signed a two-year contract extension in January, touched down on 52 minutes to ensure a winning start for new Director of Rugby Nick Kennedy.
“I think it’s about time I got my name on the scoresheet,” the former Chiefs and Harlequins man told LITV.
“The forwards really put in the hard yards, gaining excellent field position to set the platform for me to score,” he added.
Last season’s runners-up Doncaster underlined their credentials as Championship contenders with an industrious display on a sodden afternoon in Berkshire.
“It’s always good to get a win in your first game, especially when you face tough opponents and we will now get ready for the next game,” said Tikoirotuma.
