London Irish’s Theo Brophy Clews and Harry Elrington are going to showcase their cooking skills and teach supporters the steps on Monday 22 March.
As part of the Clubs '10 Days of St Patrick’s Day Festival', the duo are hosting a cook-a-long via Zoom to help supporters prepare a St Patrick's inspired meal of lamb steaks, mashed potato and bacon & cabbage.
Starting at 6:30pm, the guys will talk participants through the steps to get to a (hopefully) brilliant standard of meal for your Friday night dinner!
Theo and Harry have their own nutritional social media account called 'RugbyGrub' and have created some fantastic meals over the past few years, so we have high hopes for Monday night!
If you want to join in, please sign up through this form by midday on Monday. You will be emailed on the afternoon of the cookalong with a link to join the Zoom call and step-by-step instructions for the recipe. The ingredients you will need to have on hand are as follows (for two portions):
- 2 lamb leg steaks
- 300g potatoes
- 100g bacon lardons/pancetta
- 1/2 savoy cabbage
- 30g butter
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 50ml whiskey/100ml red wine
- 200ml chicken stock
- 2 tsp rosemary
