TEAM NEWS: Fijian internationals make debuts

New Fijian international signings Albert Tuisue and Alivereti Veitokani are named in London Irish’s match day squad for this Sunday’s Greene King IPA Championship clash with Richmond at the Madejski Stadium (kick-off 3pm).

Try-scoring Dave Porecki is named at hooker with Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi and Patric Cilliers donning the 1 and 3 shirts respectively.

The experienced Franco van der Merwe and Samoan international Teofilo Paulo provide a substantial force in the second row.

Josh McNally captains the team from blindside flanker with the tenacious Conor Gilsenan at openside flanker. Jake Schatz provides an explosive option from number 8.

Ben Meehan is named at scrum-half and partners Premiership winner Stephen Myler in the heart of the Exiles backline to create a dynamic 9 and 10 combination.

Tom Stephenson starts at inside centre and links up with Brendan Macken who wears the 13 jersey.

Italian international Luke McLean and speedster Ben Loader start on the wings, adding a mixture of experience and youth to the backline.

Fijian international Alivereti Veitokani is set to make his debut from fullback with fellow new boy Albert Tuisue ready to make an impact from the replacements.
