Promising centre Johnny Williams is looking forward to a bright future with London Irish.
The Academy product, 19, who signed a two-year contract extension last autumn, has reaffirmed his commitment to the Exiles in an exclusive interview with LITV.
“This Club means a lot to me and as a local boy I’ve been a fan of London Irish ever since I can remember when I went to the Madejski with my dad,” Williams told LITV.
“Obviously it is a sad time seeing the Club go down especially given that it is my first year as a professional, but we have got to stay strong as a team and as people.
“We have to take the positives from the situation and work hard next season in order to gain promotion back to the Aviva Premiership,” he added.
A trip to Wasps this Saturday will round off the Exiles’ season, with Williams hoping to finish the campaign on a high note, saying: “I’m really looking forward to the challenge at the Ricoh Arena in the last game of the season and we have nothing to lose.
“We know how big the challenge is and they have dangerous players across the park – we know who they are and we are well aware of that.”
