The Norton™ business unit of global software company Symantec™ Corporation has joined London Irish as an official sponsor in a landmark deal for the Club.
This sponsorship deal will see the Norton brand become the club’s Official Security Software partner with the Norton brand appearing on the Club’s playing shorts for all Aviva Premiership and European Rugby Challenge Cup fixtures.
The Norton business creates next-generation online security protection for businesses and consumers, designed to defend against the newest online threats. The company offers a range of free and paid-for products – such as Norton Security™ – that give users piece of mind when surfing the web.
The sponsorship deal will position the Norton brand at the heart of the London Irish community with additional branding rights around the Madejski Stadium and exclusive offers for season ticket holders.
Darren Henry, Head of Commercial at London Irish said: “We are delighted to have secured this important partnership with a truly global company in Symantec’s Norton brand. It is a major player within the security industry and has recognised the ambition we have as a Club. We look forward to sharing our exciting journey both on and off the pitch throughout the season.”
“Our Norton Security products are built to perform under pressure for real people in real world situations, and there’s nothing more pressurised than rugby as a sport,” said Nick Shaw, General Manager EMEA at Norton. “For this reason, as well as their ambitious plans for the future, we are pleased to be working with London Irish and look forward to showing our support for the club – and its loyal supporters – throughout the season.”
