Former Scotland international Greig Tonks is set to make his 50 th appearance for London Irish at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday against Hartpury College in Round 5 of the Championship Cup.
“It’s going to be a good game, at home luckily. I’m excited for it and glad I could hit 50 games!” added Tonks.
“I joined at the same time as a couple of the lads. Seb de Chaves and Ollie Hoskins both made their 50 th appearances recently so it’s great to get my chance.”
Keen to focus on the team performance rather than the individual milestone, Tonks addressed how preparation is going for the Hartpury clash.
“We’ve been getting everything in place for the weekend. We are ready to fire into them. We want a home quarter-final in the Championship Cup and this is a big step to getting there”.
“We want to get as many points as possible. The squad wants to win this cup, and this is the next step to doing it”.
