London Irish back-row forward Tom Pearson has been named the Rugby Players' Association's 15 Under-23 MVP award for March.

He becomes the first Exile to pick up the monthly award this term, having been named in the RPA's Under-23 Team of the Season for the 2021/22 campaign.

Throughout March, Pearson has played in every Premiership match for London Irish and aided in maintaining a 100% winning league record in his outings, ranking in the top three tacklers across the Premiership season thus far.

The 23-year-old has scored two of his six tries this term in March, also picking up the Player of the Match award as Irish beat Northampton Saints 37-22 in the St. Patrick's Party fixture.

Fellow Academy graduates Henry Arundell, Chunya Munga, Will Joseph and Senior Academy player Chandler Cunningham-South have been shortlisted as nominees throughout this season, but Pearson becomes the first Exile to pick up the coveted gong this season.

Congratulations, Tom!
