Harlequins v London Irish, Saturday 7 April 2018

Harlequins 5-35 London Irish

On this day two years ago, London Irish grabbed themselves a 5-35 away win against Harlequins at The Stoop.

Irish went in front after 15 minutes, courtesy of Piet van Zyl’s first of two tries. Tommy Bell added the extras and van Zyl secured his second try just eight minutes later. On the half hour mark, Max Northcote-Green grabbed Irish’s third try of the afternoon. A penalty from Tommy Bell ensured Irish were up 0-22 at the end of the first half.

Bell’s second penalty of the day came early in the second half, and the bonus point was secured by Tom Fowlie. Along with Bell’s conversion and one further penalty, Irish took the victory.

This fixture was also David Paice’s 200th Premiership appearance.
