London Irish v Exeter Chiefs, Saturday 26 March 2011.

London Irish 39-17 Exeter Chiefs

On this day nine years ago, a 20,011 strong crowd travelled to the Madejski Stadium for the annual St Patrick’s Party fixture.

After just 40 seconds, Delon Armitage crossed over for Irish’s first try of the game, then just minutes later, brother Steffon Armitage scored the first of his two tries. Tom Homer secured the extras to give Irish an early 12-0 lead.

David Paice gave the Exiles their third try, and a second try from Steffon Armitage made it four. Along with a further 17 points from winger Homer, London Irish secured a 39-17 victory.
