On this day back in 2009, London Irish secured a bonus-point win at the Madejski Stadium against Bristol.

Two penalties from Tom Homer and tries from Steffon Armitage and Nick Kennedy gave Irish a 16-7 lead at half-time.

Kennedy went over for a second time early in the second half and Adam Thompstone secured his first try of the game just shy of the hour mark. A 70^th minute try from Paul Hodgson and Thompson’s second try made it six for Irish.

A 38-21 win was secured.
