On this day 12 years ago, London Irish hosted Bristol Bears on a Sunday afternoon in Reading, earning a 28-8 win.
Australian full-back Peter Hewat scored a try, three penalties and two conversions for the hosts at the Madejski Stadium.
Centre Seilala Mapusua and hooker Stuart Mackie grabbed themselves a try a piece, and along with the 18 points from the boot of Hewat, secured a Premiership victory for the Exiles.
A penalty from Hewat opened the scoring, with Mackie's try coming in the 23rd minute. Hewart successfully converted the try and his second penalty of the game followed, giving Irish a 13-3 lead at half-time.
The second half saw Mapusua's try, converted by Hewat, who then went on to score his third penalty and a try, giving Irish the 28-8 victory.
