On this day seven years ago, London Irish hosted Sale Sharks at the Madejski Stadium, ending in a 33-33 draw.

Guy Armitage opened the scoring, grabbing a try after just three minutes, with Tom Homer adding the extras. Halani Aulika secured a try for the Exiles in what was his fourth for the 2012/13 season so far. Homer’s successful conversion gave Irish 14-3 lead after only ten minutes.

Scoring two penalties in quick succession, Homer would eventually make four over the course of the afternoon, Irish were up 20-15.

Max Lahiff’s try was his first in a London Irish jersey and along with the conversion, third and fourth penalties from the boot of Homer, the fixture ended in a draw.
