Retirement hasn’t lasted long for Topsy Ojo, London Irish’s all-time appearance record holder. Ojo announced he was hanging his boots up at the end of the 2018/19 season but, is set to continue his association with the club in an off-field position.

Ojo managed an unprecedented 80 tries whilst wearing the Exiles jersey and has now taken on an ambassadorial role.

“I am delighted to be taking on an ambassador role with the Club. Even though I won’t be on the pitch, it’s great to have a position with the club.”

With the move to the new Brentford Community Stadium set for 2020, Ojo is excited to be a part of a new chapter in the Club’s history.

“Obviously, we know London Irish is moving to Brentford in 2020. I am very excited to be helping with events around the move, whether that be commercial, corporate or community.

“It’s an exciting time for the Club and a huge project for me personally, especially alongside my work as a trustee with the London Irish Foundation. I’m confident that it’s going to be a great move for the Club’s future.”
