Lovejoy Chawatama is determined to help London Irish bounce back from Sunday’s defeat against Sale Sharks, when Bath Rugby come to town this weekend.

Irish went down to a 41-13 defeat at the AJ Bell Stadium in Round 14 - and whilst the final scoreline was one of disappointment, the front-row forward was keen to switch the focus of attention on to what lies ahead for Declan Kidney’s side in Round 15 on Saturday.

“It was a tough day at the office for us on Sunday, that goes without saying” he said.

“We need to re-group, re-focus and go again.

“We need to look at ourselves individually and as a collective and look at what we can do to make sure we bounce back this weekend.”

Irish have been in fine form at their new home at the Brentford Community Stadium this season - and Chawatama is keen to ensure that run continues this weekend.

“Our form at home this season has been good” he said.

“We know what we can do at our stadium.

“We need to get more ball in hand - if we can do that, it’ll make a big difference for the team.

“There’s a lot of fighting spirit in this team, we never give up and we’re always trying to improve as a group.

“We’re looking forward to Saturday now.”
