London Irish has today confirmed five additions to the Senior Academy for the 2019/20 season.

Finlay Rossiter, Chunya Munga, Josh Smart, Jack Belcher and Luke Green have all been given the opportunity to further their development and to continue their aspirations to break into the London Irish senior team.

Finlay (back row), Chunya (second row), Josh (back row) and Jack (number 8) have all come through the Berkshire London Irish Development Player Programme, whilst Luke (tight head prop) has graduated from the Middlesex London Irish Development Player Programme. Luke, Finlay and Chunya have also represented England at U18s level this season.

“I am excited to announce that we have signed five of our U18 Academy players to join the Senior Academy for next season” said Patrick O’Grady, Academy manager.

“The boys are incredibly excited to have achieved their lifelong dream of becoming professional rugby players, and they aspire to represent the London Irish first team one day.”

“It is a fantastic achievement for the boys, and we are extremely proud as an Academy to have developed all five players within our system. Their journeys started at various Development Player Programmes sites, moving in to our U16 & U18 Academy age groups and to see them transitioning in to our Senor Academy fills us with great pride.”
