London Irish’s Isaac Curtis-Harris will captain the Exiles 7s squad at the Premiership Rugby 7s taking place at Franklin’s Gardens this Friday and Saturday (13 & 14 September).

Curtis-Harris is joined by fellow first team squad member Jack Cooke and four further London Irish Academy players including Caolan Englefield, Phil Cokanasiga, Ben Atkins and Josh Smart. Recent England U18 representative and London Irish U18 player, Michael Dykes is also included.

Declan Danaher will lead the squad with Academy coaches Patrick O’Grady, Jon Fisher and James Lightfoot Brown. The squad also includes a couple of players with 7s experience with Femi Sofolarin and Fergus Guiry, who is a former London Irish Academy player, both of which have played for England 7s.

Declan Danaher, London Irish assistant coach, said: “The squad has enjoyed a good few weeks of preparation and they are excited to be experiencing the competition across two days. It is a great opportunity for the younger members of our squad to be playing against other Premiership Rugby teams and they are looking forward to pulling on the London Irish jersey.

London Irish 7s squad

Isaac Curtis-Harris:

Isaac is a back row forward in the London Irish first team squad and has previously represented England at age grade level.

Jack Cooke:

Jack is a part of the London Irish first team squad having signed his contract ahead of the 2019/20 season. He can play across the back row and has previously represented Ireland at age grade level.

Ben Atkins:

Hooker, Ben Atkins is an England U20 international and a member of the club’s senior Academy. He represented the club at senior level in the Championship.

Caolan Englefield:

A member of the senior academy at London Irish, Caolan is a scrum half who has previously been a part of the training squad for Ireland under 20s.

Phil Cokanasiga:

Phil joined the London Irish senior Academy in June 2019 and has represented England U18s.

Josh Smart:

Josh is a member of the club’s senior Academy and can play across the back row.

Michael Dykes:

Michael is in the London Irish AASE Scheme attending St Paul’s Catholic College and he has recently represented England at under 18 level.

Femi Sofolarin:

Winger Femi has represented England sevens.

Fergus Guiry:

Fergus represented Loughborough University and has also played for England 7s on the HSBC 7s series. He was previously in the London Irish Academy.

Gavin Dampies:

Gavin is a member of the Apache 7s team.

Alex Harries:

Alex is a member of the Apache 7s team.

Timi Olopade:

Timi is a member of the Apache 7s team.
