Merry Christmas to all of the London Irish Family! We hope that you have a great time with your family and friends.

Christmas is all about family and the London Irish Family is what makes our club so special. As 2017 draws to a close, we would like to thank you for your support this year.

Here’s how a few of our players and coaches like to spend their Christmas Day!

Franco van der Merwe

“As a family we had the Christmas tree up at the end of November, which is a first for us as we normally put it up on 23 December!

“The first thing we’ll do on Christmas Day is open our presents before heading to church. After church we eat the best meal of the year!”

Greig Tonks

“I always try to eat 12 mince pies every Christmas!”

Will Lloyd

“In the past I’ve spent Christmas having a barbeque on the beach back in New Zealand. This year I’ll be tucking into a pub dinner with Sebastian De Chaves, Brendan McKibbin, Scott Steele and their partners.”

Ben Ransom

“I always go to the local pub in Sevenoaks, Kent on Christmas Eve to catch up with friends I haven’t seen for a year!”

Conor Gilsenan

“We’re back in training on Boxing Day, so it will be a flying visit for me when I head back to County Meath in Ireland to see my parents. Christmas is a big thing for my family.”

Paul Hodgson

“Great food, great company and a traditional board game is how we spend Christmas as a family. My girls love receiving new Lego sets, so I’m usually spending the day building their new presents.

“This year they are getting bunk beds for their granny’s house. Christmas Day is going to be very busy!”
