Like many clubs, London Irish Amateur Rugby Club has seen the remainder of their season cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
LIARFC relies on key events in the latter stages of the season to generate the vital income used to fund the ongoing running costs of the club.
A number of key and significant fundraising events have been cancelled, including:
· St. Patrick’s Day Festival
· London Irish Mini Festival
· London Irish City Lunch
· Leprechaun Lunch
· Annual Awards Dinner and
· Walton Heath Golf Day
The club has undertaken a number of measures to cut outgoings and is working with our key suppliers and stakeholders at Hazelwood to manage payments. They have investigated and applied for available grants, but need to generate some of the lost income estimated at £40,000.
As such, London Irish Amateurs have launched a fundraising appeal to help the club ensure that they are in a position to restart rugby when safe to do so.
