The London Irish AASE programme have named their team to play their first fixture of the 2019/20 season.
The AASE scheme is comprised of talented 17 and 18-year-old boys who have aspirations to play rugby at the highest level. The scheme supports the boys in both their rugby and academic development, by combining daily training with London Irish alongside academic study in sixth form at St Paul’s Catholic College.
Their first competitive fixture sees the St Paul’s students pitted against rivals from Truro College. The game will be played at London Irish’s training ground, Hazelwood, at 2pm tomorrow (Wednesday 4 September).
Three of the players named in the Exiles side recently returned from the U18 International Series tour of South Africa. Joe Keohane, Tarek Haffar and Michael Dykes all represented England U18s on the tour.
