The Lighthouse Club have been confirmed as London Irish's Official Corporate Charity partner.

The two-year deal will see the construction industry charity join the club's partnership portfolio from the start of the 2020/21 season.

Lighthouse Club will become the official partner of the Avenue Club – one of our new hospitality suites at the Brentford Community Stadium – as well as featuring across the club’s matchday, social and digital assets.

London Irish President and Owner, Mick Crossan, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Lighthouse Club to our London Irish family.

“They do incredible work in the construction industry, which is obviously a community very close to my heart, and we’re really excited about them forging a relationship with the London Irish Foundation, who themselves continue to deliver outstanding work in the community.

“The Lighthouse Club are another good addition to our partnership portfolio as we countdown to a new era back in London at Brentford later this year.”

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity has been delivering Charitable Welfare and Support to the Construction Community since 1956.

They are the only charity that provides financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families who have suffered an injury or long-term illness or simply need a helping hand. They receive no public funding and rely solely on the generosity of those within the industry to help them continue their vital work.

Their mission that ‘no construction worker or their family should be alone in a crisis’ is supported by their outstanding work around mental health and suicide prevention.

Lighthouse Club CEO, Bill Hill, said: “There has never been a more critical time to build relationships between the British and Irish Construction communities to combat the mental, physical and financial challenges of our industry workforce and their families.

“Construction, rugby, networking and fun are all part of our DNA to support our charitable work.

“We are delighted to be the charity partner with London Irish on their exciting return to London and look forward to a long and successful relationship that will hopefully be equalled with the results on the field.”
