London Irish boss Nick Kennedy is relishing this Saturday’s trip to reigning Aviva Premiership champions Exeter Chiefs (kick-off 3pm).

Kennedy, who guided Irish to a bonus point victory over Harlequins in the London Double Header on the opening weekend of the season, says his side will have to raise their game even more at Sandy Park.

“I thought the boys were excellent against Harlequins and our physicality and intensity was superb,” said Kennedy.

“It doesn’t get any easier now, with a tough test away to Exeter.

“After the win against Quins I told the boys to enjoy the win just for now and then it’s about the next job. We have a big week of training to look forward to and we’ll do our best at Exeter.”

“The win against Quins will give us confidence and hopefully we can build on this performance.”
