With the RBS 6 Nations coming to a conclusion, Aviva Premiership Rugby returns with a bang this weekend. However, March saw some exciting domestic performances across Aviva Premiership Rugby and the LV Cup.
Exeter Chiefs continued their impressive season with a huge win against London Welsh that featured 21 points from February’s Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month Henry Slade before a second consecutive appearance in the LV Cup final, where Saracens emerged victorious with a late Ben Spencer penalty.
Bath Rugby ground out an important home win against Sale Sharks to end a run of three straight defeats, whilst Gloucester Rugby and Northampton Saints played out an absolute thriller at Kingsholm that ended 33-33 after a double from James Wilson and matching records for Greig Laidlaw and Stephen Myler off the tee.
There were also two outstanding individual tries from Christian Wade and Elliot Daly at the Ricoh Arena to give Wasps the lead over Saracens, before Alex Goode led the fightback and kicked Sarries to victory.
You can cast your vote for March by simply entering the name of the Aviva Premiership Rugby player who impressed you the most last month by visiting www.aviva.co.uk/10thjudge.
The player with the most fan votes will be put forward as the collective Aviva 10th Judge’s vote.
Bringing fans closer to the action, Aviva will randomly choose one supporter who has cast a vote to receive four tickets to an Aviva Premiership Rugby match of their choice.*
Previous Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month awards have seen fans agree with the esteemed panel of nine members of the rugby media, influencing the winner of the coveted monthly award, and this month is no different – you can play a vital role in deciding which player comes out on top!
