London Irish have completed the loan signing of hooker Reece Marshall from Northampton Saints.
Marshall has joined the Exiles on a short-term deal.
Declan Kidney welcomed his arrival, commenting: “We’re pleased to welcome Reece into the squad and we hope he enjoys his time with us.
“Some of our hookers have picked up a few knocks, so bringing in someone of Reece’s experience helps to strengthen our options over the coming weeks.”
A product of the Saints Academy, Marshall made his senior debut against Leicester Tigers in the Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2015, and made a handful of appearances the following season before breaking into the first team and turning out consistently in Black, Green and Gold in 2017/18 – scoring his first try against Dragons that season.
The following term, the hooker would play his most rugby in a season to date – turning out 24 times across the 2018/19 campaign as Saints reached the knock-out stages of every senior competition and claimed the Premiership Rugby Cup title.
To date, he has made 59 appearances in all competitions for Saints.
Welcome to the Exiles family, Reece!
