London Irish have secured the services of talented Fijian back-row Senitiki Nayalo on a two-year deal.

Nayalo, 25, joined Irish on trial in the summer and impressed club bosses during pre-season victories over Harlequins and Loughborough Students.

A try scorer in the Exiles’ 28-12 triumph against Harlequins at The Stoop, Nayalo cut his teeth with Noitoga Rugby Club in Fiji before making the move to the UK to join the British Army.

Whilst serving with the 7th Parachute Royal Horse Artillery, the 6ft 2” 18 stone hit-man featured for Harlequins in the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s series in 2014 and 2015 as well as the World Club 7s Series in 2014.

Nayalo, who could be in line to start in this Saturday’s British and Irish Cup clash against Ospreys Premier Select, is delighted to have penned permanent terms.

“I’m really pleased to have signed for the club and I’ve enjoyed my time here so far,” said Nayalo.

“Hopefully I can get my chance in the team soon and make the most of my opportunity – we’ve made a great start to the season and we need to continue to grow as a club,” he added.

Exiles Director of Rugby Nick Kennedy said: “I’ve been monitoring the progress of Senitiki for the last two years and he played A league rugby for us last year. We have been very pleased with what we have seen of him.

“He has all the hallmarks of a top class back-row and we are looking forward to seeing him in competitive action.”
