London Irish have joined forces with the London Borough of Hounslow to remind their residents of the COVID-19 rules and the importance of adhering to them.

Irish's new home – the Brentford Community Stadium – is located within the Hounslow borough and the club is working closely with the council to help reinforce their messaging, at a time when the country continues to navigate its way through a crucial period in the pandemic.

Councillor Candice Atterton, Hounslow Council's Cabinet Member for Cabinet Member for Adults, Social Care and Health, said: "London Irish's return to the capital is a matter of great pride to everyone in Hounslow, which they have chosen as their new home.

"We're delighted they have become part of our One Hounslow community. We all wish them every success for the coming season."

She added: "We are also very grateful they have chosen to start a long, successful partnership with us, their supporters and the people of Hounslow with such an important message. By working as a team to bring down coronavirus rates we can begin to look forward to being back in the stands, cheering on The Exiles!"

London Irish CEO, Brian Facer, added: "We're pleased to lend our support to the council, to help them reinforce their messaging around this hugely important subject.

"As a club, we can't wait to welcome the people of Hounslow, and the surrounding areas, to our wonderful new home in Brentford – and the sooner we can do that, the better, for everyone concerned."
