London Irish Director of Rugby Nick Kennedy is urging supporters to turn up in their droves for this Wednesday’s Greene King IPA Championship Play-off Final second leg clash against Yorkshire Carnegie at the Madejski Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Exiles take an 11-point lead into the return leg having left Leeds with a 29-18 first leg victory last week, a result which Kennedy attributes to his side’s supporters.

“The crowd really got behind us when it mattered and they gave the boys energy,” Kennedy, 34 t t old LITV .

“It would be fantastic if they could come to the Madejski in large numbers and really spur on the boys. Our supporters were awesome last week as they have been all season and it was even more impressive given that it was on a Wednesday night when many had work the next morning.”

Focussing on this Wednesday’s showdown, Kennedy added: “We’re in good shape and there are areas of the game that we are looking to improve on from the first leg, and hopefully we can execute these on Wednesday night.

“Everyone is looking forward to the challenge that Yorkshire will bring and we are expecting another tough test.”
