Manu Samoa qualified for the 2019 Rugby World Cup with the help of London Irish forwards Ofisa Treviranus and new signing Motu Matu’u.

Played over two legs, Samoa triumphed over Germany in the Oceania/Europe play-off in a 108-43 aggregate win to book their ticket to Japan. Samoa will go into Pool A for the 2019 Rugby World Cup alongside Ireland, Scotland, Japan and Russia.

With qualification secured, both Treviranus and Matu’u will be eager to link up with the rest of the London Irish squad as preparations for the new season get underway.
