Saturday marked a historic day for the HITZ programme at London Irish as young learner Charlotte Gibbons joined the off-field team for her first day of work experience.
Charlotte, who has been with the programme for two months, met London Irish supporters as she handed out tickets on the matchday.
Commenting on her experience, Charlotte said: "Andy asked me if I wanted to work in the ticket office for the match against Agen and I jumped at the chance. I really struggle with interviews and the opportunity to gain some experience was something I wouldn't turn down. I am now going to be getting training to do more work in the ticket office and will be working on matchdays in the future."
HITZ officer Andy Arter, added: "Charlotte has been a real bright spark since she came on to the course and, after having a few conversations, I felt it was right to get her some work experience. It is key for all the young people we work with that we utilise the links we have, not only within the Club, but within our wider rugby community. Charlotte is just the first of many who will get the oppotunity of employment with the club on matchdays."
