London Irish Academy graduate Ollie Hassell-Collins has been named in Steve Borthwick’s first training camp for the 2023 Guinness Six Nations.

The 36-player squad will meet at Pennyhill Park next week for a Guinness Six Nations training camp.

The winger has been involved with the national team set-up in various age-grade levels, including the under-18s, under-20s and also the sevens side.

Hassell-Collins earned his first call-up to an England training squad in the summer of 2021, also being involved in last year’s Six Nations squad and could be in line for a first senior cap this February or March.

The 23-year-old has had a stellar season in Irish colours; being the Club’s top try scorer in all tournaments with nine tries in the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership so far, the joint-second most across the division.

In the Premiership this term, Hassell-Collins has made the second-most defenders beaten (36), fourth-most metres (697) and line breaks (15) and fifth-most offloads (15) and gain line carries (58).

He has been involved with the Club since the AASE schools level and has progressed through the Senior Academy set-up into the first team, making his debut back in the 2018/19 season and has made 97 appearances since.

Well deserved, Ollie!
