Scotland international Gordon Reid has paid tribute to the London Irish supporters, the Calcutta Cup-winner eager to do the Exiles faithful proud this season.

The 31-year-old prop, who recently committed his future to the club, is itching to get a solid campaign under his belt in Irish green and held his side make an immediate return to English rugby’s top table.

“When you have the tremendous support that we have behind us, driving us through, it makes such a difference,” said the Glaswegian.

“We have a bunch of boys here that want to fight for each other and willing to improve and do well.”
