González to start against Wales

For the second consecutive week, Juan Martín González has been selected to start for his native Argentina as Los Pumas continue their Autumn Nations Series campaign against Wales.

González played his part in an historic triumph over Eddie Jones’ England last weekend, winning a jackal turnover as well as 11 tackles with Argentina taking their first victory at Twickenham since 2006.

Earning his 18^th cap in the English capital, González comes off the back of four appearances for Irish this term, having also made an immense impact in the 2022 Rugby Championship (joint-top try scorer with four and in the top 10 tacklers with 54).

Lining up as blindside flanker, the 21-year-old will make his first appearance against Wayne Pivac’s side this weekend.  

The match, taking place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, kicks-off at 5.30pm and will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Sport.
