Fischetti and Morisi to start vs Samoa

Kieran Crowley has selected prop Danilo Fischetti and centre Luca Morisi in his starting XV against Samoa to begin the Azzurri’s autumnal schedule.

The game kicks off at 1pm this Saturday (5^th) at the Stadio Plebiscito, Padova, and will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Sport.

Both joined the Exiles as two of three Italian internationals, alongside prop Giosùe Zilocchi, to link up with Declan Kidney’s men over the summer.

This season, Fischetti has featured in all but one of Irish’s Gallagher Premiership outings, with Morisi being involved in two of the Club’s three Premiership Rugby Cup games as well as three league fixtures.

In the summer internationals, Crowley’s side triumphed over Portugal (38-31), Romania (45-13), before a defeat in Batumi to Georgia by a score of 28-19.

The Italian Exiles will be in line for more caps at the weekend, the centre’s 37^th and first since last November’s internationals, and the front-row forward’s 23^rd.

Italy continues their November billing against southern hemispheric nations Australia (12^th, 1pm ko) and then South Africa (19^th, 1pm ko).
