London Irish have completed the signing of Andrei Mahu.
The 29-year-old lock will join the Exiles ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The Moldovan international forward moves from Krasny Yar Krasnoyarsk, where he played against Irish for the Russian side in the Amlin Challenge Cup in 2017, starting in all six pool matches.
Mahu has previously played for Politehnica Iasi, Piacenza, Zebre, Timisoara Saracens and Farul Constanta.
Director of Rugby, Declan Kidney, said: “We're really pleased to be welcoming Andrei to the club from the start of next season.
"He will bring his experience to our pack and will add more depth to our second-row department.”
Speaking ahead of his arrival, Mahu said: "I am really excited to be joining London Irish.
"I can't wait to meet up with my new teammates as we prepare for our first season back in London at the new stadium.
"It's an incredibly exciting new chapter for the club – and I can't wait to be part of it."
