London Irish second row Sebastian De Chaves is looking for his charges to continue the winning feeling going into this Saturday’s Anglo-Welsh Cup clash with Wasps at the Madejski Stadium (kick-off 3pm).

The Exiles made it two wins out of two against Krasny Yar in Georgia on Saturday, a 24-17 triumph in the European Rugby Challenge Cup giving Nick Kennedy’s men another shot in the arm as the business end of the campaign looms large.

A brace from Tom Fowlie as well as further scores from Matt Williams and Ben Loader were enough to overcome the Russians.

“We’re really happy to get the win as Krasny Yar are a very tough opponent and they like to work through the phases with ball in hand,” said De Chaves, 27.

“I’m proud with the way in which the boys dug in when Krasny put us under a lot of pressure, and to record two wins out of two is massive for the club going into the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

“We’re looking to build momentum in the Anglo-Welsh Cup over the next two weeks so that we’re in an even better place going into the next block of Aviva Premiership games.”

London Irish’s next home game will be against Wasps in the Anglo-Welsh Cup on Saturday 27 January. Under 13s tickets are just £1 throughout the stadium with adults from £15 from www.lidirect.co.uk or by calling 0118 968 1016 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to noon).
