Daniel kicks his way to the Cayman Islands!

Honours ended even on the pitch between London Irish and Gloucester Rugby on Sunday - but there was one big winner at the Brentford Community Stadium, thanks to Visit Cayman Islands!

Exiles fan Daniel Packwood was the inaugural victor of our ‘Kick Your Way To Cayman’ half-time activation - winning flights for two to the Cayman Islands.

After getting the better of his opponent, a Gloucester fan, in the first task, which involved both contestants pushing a giant beach ball from the halfway line to the try line, Daniel had the chance to kick for glory from the 22 metre line.

And he did just that - with his second of three attempts sailing through the posts, to the delight of the man himself!

“It was an amazing feeling,” he said.

“To be honest, I didn’t realise I had won the running race until someone in the crowd shouted ‘you’ve got to slot the kick now fella’.

“I had to quickly calm the breathing and just visualise the winning kick.

“It felt like I’d kicked the winning point in the Rugby World Cup Final when it went over!”
