Agustín Creevy is set to become the highest capped Argentina international of all time this weekend as he is named in Michael Cheika’s Argentina team to host South Africa in The Rugby Championship.

Creevy is joined by Exiles Lucio Cinti and Juan Martín González in Cheika’s matchday squad for the Round 5 fixture, set to take place this Saturday (17th), kicking-off at 8.10pm BST.

The 37-year-old equalled Nicolás Sánchez’s record of 94 caps for Los Pumas in a Round 2 victory at home to Australia, and should he make an appearance off the bench against the current world champions, he will become the record appearance holder for his nation.

González and Cinti made history as two of the first 23 Argentine rugby players to win on New Zealand soil, the former scoring the only try of the game for Argentina as they won 25-18 in Hamilton.

Irish’s back-row forward will look to improve his already impressive stats, currently the joint-top try scorer in the competition with three tries and top 10 in lineouts won (8) and tackles (38).

Argentina’s fixture against South Africa will be available to view live on Sky Sports Arena, with coverage beginning at 8pm BST.
