The London Irish Community team held the annual Land Rover Cup at Hazelwood this past weekend, in what was another successful festival for the next generation of rugby players.
Over 600 children and parents headed to Sunbury-on-Thames for a fun-filled day of rugby. Facundo Gigena, Benhard van Rensburg and Kyle Rowe were all on hand to present medals after keeping an eye on the brilliant standard of rugby.
“Thank you to the 620 participants and staff that played a big part in making both the U11 and U12 Land Rover Cup a fantastic day” said Mathew Heeks, Head of Community.
“It was great to see so many players with smiles on their faces and enjoying their rugby.”
Congratulations to Newbury RFC U11’s who won the Fair Play Award for their sportsmanship, respect, teamwork and discipline.
In the U12 category, Amersham & Chiltern RFC were crowned the winners.
