More than 1000 players and coaches from local rugby clubs will kick-start this season’s St Patrick’s Day Game celebrations on Sunday 20th March when our rugby festival for U7s to U10s gets underway from 9am.
With clubs joining us from across the country including Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, and Dorset, the St Patrick’s Day Festival will be a real feast of rugby.
Head of Community at London Irish, Andy Keast is relishing the upcoming event - "This festival will be one of our largest yet and is set to be a real celebration of rugby. We are a family orientated Club and are very much focused on growing the sport and getting the next generation excited about rugby. Our St Patrick's Day Game is our flagship matchday and it’s fantastic to have so many rugby clubs and their families involved.”
Hosted at Reading University, the festival gives U7s to U10s the chance to develop and put their rugby skills to the test against rugby clubs from across the country. All junior players will receive a participation medal and will also get the chance to watch the game come to life when London Irish take on Gloucester Rugby in the Aviva Premiership at the Madejski Stadium (3pm kick-off).
