The London Irish Community team has just completed its summer rugby camp schedule, engaging with children across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and Middlesex.

Over the course of six weeks, rugby camps took place at over 10 rugby clubs and schools within the community, including; Horris Hill, Hazelwood Centre, Dauntsey’s School, Alresford RFC, Wallingford RFC, Grasshoppers RFC, Alton RFC, Tottonians RFC, Newbury Blues RFC, Gosport and Fareham and St George Weybridge School. This saw the team engage with over 260 boys and girls aged between 6 and 15-years-old.

The sessions were aimed at improving the individuals core rugby skills and included passing, kicking and decision-making techniques. Each participant received a personal feedback form, including areas of development, and where possible, were able to meet members of the London Irish first team.

London Irish Community Manager, Hari McCormack said: “it was great to see so many children within our community attending the camps.  On show were a lot of talented players across all age groups which is exciting for the future. I’d like to thank the team for all their hard work over the summer.”

We will be releasing our next holiday camp dates in due course, so keep an eye out via our social media channels and website.
