The London Irish Coach Development programme began in March 2018 with the aim of developing coaches within the London Irish Academy and the local community.
The programme runs through a series of workshops held across Middlesex, Berkshire and Hampshire, with each session focusing on a different element of what makes a good coach. The subjects range from technical elements to psychological influences, with the intention to inspire people to think differently about their coaching.
Last season’s workshops hosted several guest speakers, including a former hostage negotiator Mark Sheasby, golf coach Sam Jarman, lecturer Ed Hall and Google business partner Liam Russell.
The positive impact of the Coach Development programme will continue this season, with the first series of workshops now announced.
