Cherwell Software are delighted to have agreed a deal with London Irish to sponsor new signings Arno Botha and Piet van Zyl.

South African duo Botha, 26, and van Zyl, 28, jetted into Heathrow Airport on Thursday morning before being shown around the London Irish’s state of the art Hazelwood training facility.

Posing for pictures ahead of their official announcement, the former Blue Bulls teammates were greeted with the news that the software company had become their official corporate sponsor for the 2017/18 season.

Founded in 2004, Cherwell Software has offices in Swindon and Reading, and has recently relocated its EMEA head office to Green Park in Reading, next to the Madejski Stadium.

Specialising in IT service management and asset management software solutions, the sponsorship deal underlines Cherwell’s continued commitment to supporting London Irish after they were announced as an official commercial partner ahead of this season.

The announcement comes as Cherwell expand their business with the addition of a number of key personnel to their team.

“We’re thrilled to be sponsoring Arno and Piet and we wish them well as they embark on the next chapter in their career with London Irish,” said Patrick Malaperiman, vice president of Cherwell Software.

“We are currently undergoing an exciting phase of development at Cherwell and we’re delighted to align that with our support for London Irish in the Aviva Premiership.”

London Irish chief executive Brian Facer said: “I would like to extend our gratitude to Patrick and his team at Cherwell for their fantastic support as the relationship between Cherwell Software and London Irish goes from strength to strength.

“They came on board with us as an official partner ahead of this season and I’m delighted that this partnership has developed to see them sponsor our new signings Arno Botha and Piet van Zyl.”
