Monty Bradbury is joined by Clubmates Calum Scott and Afolabi Fasogbon in Alan Dickens’ England under-20 matchday 23 for the fourth consecutive game in the 2023 Under-20 Six Nations.
Fly-half Bradbury resumes his duties in the starting 10 jersey against France this Friday evening, and will look to be joined by replacements Scott (hooker) and Fasogbon (prop).
England currently sits at the apex of the Championship table after three bonus point victories, facing a France side four points and two places adrift of Friday’s hosts in third.
In the previous outing against Wales in Colwyn Bay, Dickens’ men won 37-21 with Irish’s 19-year-old fly-half adding his third try assist of the tournament, as well as 58 metres from seven carries, the most kicking metres of any player (264), six tackles, 24 passes, one offload and two broken tackles.
Fasogbon (prop) put in a solid shift as a replacement, making five tackles, including one dominant, with Scott (hooker) recording one turnover win and seven metres per carry in two ball involvements.
England under-20s Head Coach Alan Dickens said: “This is a new team playing in 2023 with lots of fresh faces, so we’ve been focused on togetherness throughout our campaign.
"I’ve been impressed with how the players have been able to put into practice what we’ve learned and improved on our performances each week, and we’re looking to continue that against France.
“France is a good side with quality players across the park who regularly play in the Top 14.
"The way they fought back into the contest against Ireland showed that they’re a tight group, and France was unlucky not to come away with the win.
"They then followed that up with a fantastic performance against Scotland two weeks ago.
“This will be a big match, and one we’ll have to be at our best for.
"Congratulations to Joe Jenkins and Harry Browne on their first involvements in the matchday 23, it’s a special occasion.”
The fourth round fixture will kick-off at 8pm this Friday (10th) at the Recreation Ground, and will be available to stream live on BBC iPlayer.
Best of luck, lads!
